Competition Format

6 vs. 6. Play will consist of pool play. Pool play will be followed by a single elimination tournament. The number of teams advancing to the single elimination tournament will be determined by the number of teams in the tournament.

Tournament is open to residents of Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin. The competitiveness will be classified as a beginner/recreational level tournament.

Whenever possible, teams will be scheduled three games minimum.

Game length will consist of start/stop clock with two 18 minute halves. Halftime is a maximum of two minutes.

RULES

Current USA Broomball rules will be used with Iowa Games modifications.

Helmets and matching jerseys are required. Only commercially produced hockey helmets will be allowed. No bicycle or football helmets allowed.

Age Determining Date

Date of Competition. Minimum age is 18.

Waivers should be in the Iowa Games office by 4:00 pm on February 8. Teams not returning their waivers by February 8 should bring the signed waivers to your venue. Please allow extra time at check-in for your waivers to be processed.
