Competition Format

Iowa Games Youth Soccer offers divisions in: Recreational Division, Open Division, Competitive Division. Round robin play. Duration of preliminary games will be 6 minute quarters for Under 6, 8 minute quarters for Under 8, 20 minute halves for Under 9-Under 10, 25 minute halves for Under 11-Under 14, 30 minute halves for Under 16 and 35-minute halves for Under 19. Semi-final, consolation and championship games will be the same length as preliminary games. NOTE: Not all divisions/subdivisions will playoff for medals. Some medals will be awarded based on the results of bracket play.

(*U9-U14 competitive teams may not enter the 'Open' division, Open division is for recreational players only! No IPSL - competitive - players may guest play on a recreational team. No IPSL multiple rostered players may play on a recreational team either even though they are on the regular season roster)

Referee Requirements & Other Information

Each team is REQUIRED to provide qualifed center referees; one (1) for under 6 - under 8 or two (2) for under 9 - under 19 teams to officiate or assist as needed in at least three (3) games in their respective age division or older (i.e. U12 teams must submit someone at least 14 years of age, U19 teams must submit someone at least 21 years of age).  Officials must be 2 years older than the age group of the team they are affiliated.

Must present current player pass - valid only if picture attached and pass signed,
OR photo copy of birth certificate with photo attached,
OR driver's license/permit,
OR passport/INS port of entry stamp

T-shirt Pick-up

Site TBD.  Coaches will receive a printout that indicates T-shirt sizes for each player at pick-up. T-shirt exchanges (while supply lasts) can be made starting Sunday.
